Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems at client sites in the Akron area.

The role requires interpreting blueprints, completing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with Customer Service regarding task status. Eligible candidates will have at least two years of experience in commercial security systems, networking knowledge, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years prior work experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Must have networking skills and 1-year experience programming access and video systems.
• Possess minimum factory and/or internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Must have basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, Smartsheet and IT skillset with understanding of IP systems.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls within the assigned area within guaranteed response times and aims to restore system functionality.
• Properly installs systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain and update tickets in service and project tracking system.
• Assist with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attend to duties assigned by Regional Manager or executive staff.
