Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent for the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to lead construction, integration, and maintenance of electronic security solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Travel up to 50% is required. The role demands strong project management, safety adherence, and coordination with engineers and field teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in installation, integration, and testing of electronic security projects valued at >$500k.
• Experience in the Security Industry.
• 2+ years’ experience managing security projects as PM/ Superintendent/ Foreman.
• Experience installing conduit and wiring systems.
• Experience with head end programming and testing of Access Control and Video Management Systems.
• Knowledge of basic Network Infrastructure.
• Experience with scheduling, job cost, estimating, safety, documentation, and QC.
• Proficiency in CPM scheduling; history of meeting hours estimates.
• Reliable attendance at customer sites; flexible schedule incl. nights/weekends.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Time management and organization skills to meet deadlines.
• MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, site safety, permits, and stakeholder communication.
• Lead risk assessment, problem solving, and efficient project execution.
• Develop 12+ week look-ahead schedules and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Prepare and review project documentation: COs, RFIs, daily reports, QC records.
