Job summary

IES Communications seeks an Associate Project Manager to support delivery of commercial security and low-voltage projects. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers, technicians, customers, vendors, and subcontractors from planning through installation and completion.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or related fields and familiarity with access control, CCTV, and basic networking (IP, Ethernet, PoE). Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in project coordination or related fields.
• Familiarity with access control and CCTV security systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project docs.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of commercial security projects.
• Coordinate with customers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, materials, purchasing, and documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and project requirements.
• Support projects involving access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercoms, and integrated security systems.
• Track project progress, costs, change orders, and deliverables.
• Assist with system commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving field issues.
• Participate in customer and project meetings.
• Help ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and customer expectations.
• Support project closeout and customer turnover.
• Identify opportunities to improve project processes and efficiency.
