Job summary

Convergint in the United States is seeking a motivated Security Service Technician to join our team. You will respond to service calls, perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and install small projects while delivering world-class service to customers and colleagues.

You’ll work with fire alarm and electronic security systems, travel locally, and contribute to a culture that values integrity, growth, and safety. A valid driver’s license and hands-on technical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with access control systems and security technologies preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and after-hours service calls; diagnose, repair, and install as needed.
• Troubleshoot and fix equipment or software issues.
• Analyze repair needs and provide practical solutions; conduct repairs and replacements.
• Prepare detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Assist with system integrations and small projects; configure and support network systems.
• Perform service calls in compliance with regulations and safety policies.
• Coordinate with team to improve operations at the Technology Center.
• Perform preventative maintenance on less complex installed systems.
• Cross-train with specialists to service existing customers.
• Other duties as required.
