Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair card access, CCTV, and alarm systems at customer sites in New Jersey. You will provide high-level service, troubleshoot on-site, and offer solutions to improve building performance.

Applicants should have experience with access systems, CCTV, and fire alarm knowledge, plus the ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams. Travel and weekends may be required, with union-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience with card access and CCTV systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Strong customer service skills and problem-solving.
• Able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50-70 lbs.
• valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service/repair on access, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Provide on-site solutions and customer satisfaction.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference manuals.
• Read blueprints and specifications to install/inspect systems.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and document service calls.
