Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair card access, CCTV, and related building security systems at customer sites in the New Jersey area. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality service, solving building inefficiencies, and advising customers on improvements.

You will read blueprints and manuals, install and commission equipment, and communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction. On-call availability and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Some documented experience with card access and CCTV systems.
• Knowledge of test equipment such as multi-meters and digital analyzers.
• Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV systems.
• Fire alarm experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals, and operating manuals.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service/repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems at customer sites.
• Provide high levels of customer service and solutions to improve building efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to execute service tasks.
• Complete service acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures.
• Available for on-call emergencies and travel as required.
