Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to diagnose and repair security systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV and Card Access equipment, providing on-site solutions and clear status updates to customers and the care center.

You will work independently from a remote location with the tools provided, coordinating inspections and installations as needed to keep facilities running efficiently and securely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–4 years' experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Electrical/Electronic background is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service commercial security systems to resolve building inefficiencies.
• Advise customers and care center on system status and inspections.
• Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, Card Access systems and other security equipment.
• Prepare trouble order forms and report temporary repairs.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and upsell opportunities.
