Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation seeks a Remote Security Sergeant to lead security operations at remote client sites in Alaska. You will supervise personnel, assign posts, enforce policies, and coordinate with law enforcement and responders.

The role requires JFK- style incident command readiness, remote camp living, and driving responsibilities. Strong leadership, training ability, and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license with clean 3-year record.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License before start.
• Must obtain State Alaska Armed Guard license on hire.
• Experience delivering training and security instruction.
• Hands-on handgun experience and ability to meet firearms quals.
• Familiar with Incident Command System (ICS).
• Possession of required certifications (TWIC, ATF Explosives).
• Proficient in MS Office and contract software.
• Pass pre-employment checks and fitness tests; travel may be required.
• Able to live in remote camp; maintain camp cleanliness.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Good judgment and independent decision-making in fast-paced env.
• English reading/writing/speaking per contract requirements.
• Commitment to safety policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations and personnel at client facilities.
• Assign posts, patrols, and maintain staffing levels.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and post orders.
• Document client needs and translate into functional requirements.
• Prepare employee work schedules and review leave requests.
• Maintain communication with clients to address security concerns.
• Review incident reports and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain post orders and operational procedures.
• Provide transportation and emergency medical assistance within training scope.
• Serve in on-call capacity and assume Incident Command when required.
