Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks a Remote Security Officer to safeguard remote work sites and campuses. Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response, with duties performed in line with company values.

The role requires three years of security/military experience, valid licenses, and the ability to work in dormitory housing on long shifts. A robust safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required or approved accommodation process.
• At least three years of full-time security, law enforcement or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean three-year driving record.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License and State Armed Guard License.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Pass pre‑employment testing: drug, physical, fit-for-duty, hearing.
• Must live in dormitory-style housing and work in a team.
• Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must stand for 12 hours per shift and meet safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors and patrols assigned buildings or grounds.
• Control entry by permitting only authorized individuals.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates for security.
• Record incidents and property data.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors; respond to emergencies.
• Operate camp access control and transport vehicles as needed.
• Provide emergency medical intervention when required.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Work as part of a team with coworkers, customers, and clients.
