Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on assigned projects in Huntsville, AL. The role involves working with security, fire alarm and life-safety systems, with opportunities to grow within Convergint's culture and values.

You will collaborate with engineering and project teams, interpret manuals and schematics, and support customers to maximize satisfaction. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security.
• Self-starter with ability to work under direct supervision and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and life-safety systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and commission systems; demonstrate equipment and analyze performance for issues.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Operations Manager to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
• Support customer training and provide ongoing technical assistance as needed.
