Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC in Jackson, MS is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on a wide range of security projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to exceptional service. Local travel and a driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• What You’ll Need: exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills and experience with fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of non-routine systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation.
• Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures and repairs equipment.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
• Mentors less experienced staff and assists in overall project coordination to improve customer satisfaction.
