Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify and train customers on security, fire alarm and life safety systems. You will work on diverse projects, from small to large, and collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver reliable service.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of field service experience, strong electronics skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years field service experience preferred.
• Certifications in Fire/Life Safety are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security, fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation steps.
• Commission new systems, analyze performance and train customers.
• Mentor less experienced staff and support project coordination.
