Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Project Specialist 3 in Duluth, GA to install, program, test, and service security systems on projects of varying complexity. You’ll train customers and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while ensuring top-quality service and satisfaction.

You will read schematics, interpret diagrams, and tour sites to commission systems, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer delight. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service a variety of security systems on projects of varying complexity.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation procedures; interpret wiring diagrams.
• Operate systems to commission new installations and analyze performance.
• Provide customer training and technical support; mentor less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Engineering to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Identify risks and contribute to project planning and cost control.
