Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security and life-safety projects of varying complexity.

You will read blueprints, test equipment, and support customers while collaborating with project managers to meet timelines and achieve project goals.

Minimum 3–5 years field service experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel locally with some overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and ability to troubleshoot problems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, and services security and life-safety systems.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals and wiring diagrams to determine installation.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, start-ups, and commissioning.
