WesBanco Bank Inc. seeks an experienced Security Operations leader to drive staff performance and security program maturity. You will guide incident response, threat detection, and security monitoring while aligning with IT and Risk Management objectives.

The role emphasizes budgeting coordination, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across security operations in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required, with at least three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical certifications in IT related to networking, security, systems, databases preferred (Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, Citrix, Oracle, (ISC) 2).
• Experience with security event response procedures and familiarity with IT security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors, and develops the Security Operations team.
• Develops and maintains Security Operations procedures, workflows, and incident response playbooks.
• Oversees security monitoring, alert triage, threat detection, investigations, and operational effectiveness.
• Manages cybersecurity incident response and serves as primary escalation point for significant security events.
• Partners with leadership to optimize security platforms, monitoring capabilities, and operational readiness.
• Develops and reports on key metrics related to Security Operations effectiveness and risk reduction.
