Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. seeks a Security Operations leader to guide a team responsible for monitoring, threat detection, and incident response throughout the technology lifecycle.

You will partner with IT, Risk Management, and senior leadership to drive improvements and ensure security best practices across all domains. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and at least three years of related experience, with preferred security certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, NIST) a plus.
• Technical certifications in networking, security, or systems preferred (Cisco, Microsoft, Comptia, ISC)2).

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops the Security Operations team with goals aligned to IT and Risk objectives.
• Oversees security monitoring, incident response, and escalation for significant security events.
• Develops security procedures, playbooks, and budgets; manages vendor relationships.
• Ensures practices align with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks.
• Supports security assessments, audits, and disaster recovery planning.
