Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Richmond, VA. You will provide security services, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents, while delivering excellent customer service at a technology-focused site.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. You will work a designated evening schedule and collaborate with a supportive team to maintain safety and a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
