• Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry/exit according to site procedures; stay aware of visitor and vehicle activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain records related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Roving Patrol Full Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public authorities as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
