Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard—Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Richmond, VA. The role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and ensuring safe access control at a technology-focused location. The position pays $19.00 per hour with a Thur-Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ for unarmed roles, and background/drug screening as applicable. CPR/First Aid and Guard Card/licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and access control points; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
