Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Arlington, VA, to monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and support access control. You will deliver customer service with a visible security presence in a dynamic technology-focused location.

The role emphasizes clear communication, integrity, and teamwork while supporting a flexible schedule and the Claim a Shift platform to explore additional hours. Must meet minimum requirements and pass background/drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge checks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and vendors while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and badge checks per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations and notify authorities.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and shift communications.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge checks, entry requirements, and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
