Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol technology facilities, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees.

Responsibilities include regular patrols, access monitoring, incident reporting, and maintaining logs. Minimum 1 year security experience, HS diploma, and background/drug screening requirements apply. Flexible schedule and shift options available.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state or local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
