Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Arlington, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide friendly customer service to employees and visitors.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunity to explore additional shifts through our Claim a Shift platform. Minimum requirements include being 18+, high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, data and communications spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation, communicate relevant information to incoming personnel, and support a professional environment for all occupants.

Pay Rate: $21.80 / Hour
