Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol/Access Control Officer. You will provide customer service, perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and uphold site policies in a technology-focused facility.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. Using strong communication and technology skills, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology facility, including building interiors, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
