As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Screening in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Screener in an educational setting, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and use screening technology to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Screen individuals and belongings at designated entry points using approved screening equipment and procedures; communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify credentials, manage visitor access, and direct individuals to appropriate campus locations in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, buildings, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
