As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Zone Verification in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, staff, and community members with professionalism and respect. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies when needed.
• Prepare clear activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
