Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in New York, NY. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, assist visitors and staff, and deliver courteous customer service in a professional environment.

The schedule includes DayTime shifts (Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Thu 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM). Minimum requirements include a New York Security Guard License and at least one year of security experience. The company promotes equal opportunity employment.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies when needed.
• Prepare clear activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
