Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in New York, NY. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service.

The position offers a flexible part-time schedule with pay rate of $18.87 per hour. Candidates must have NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screen required.
• License and driving if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping maintain an orderly environment for individuals receiving services and facility personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
