What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and residents at a government services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions or prohibited activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a respectful environment for individuals accessing homelessness services and following all applicable government facility protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
