Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Licensed Patrol Operations in New York, NY to protect clients across government and other sectors. Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency personnel by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
