Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch in Minneapolis, MN to coordinate security communications at a hotel or resort location. You will monitor alarms and calls, dispatch personnel, and document incidents.

You'll support guests and staff with clear communication, responsive service, and attention to detail, while adhering to site procedures and safety protocols. This role is full-time, with a daytime to evening schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, vendors, and staff by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor communications systems, receive calls, and dispatch appropriate personnel for guest-service needs, maintenance, medical situations, and security incidents.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications per site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate to supervisors or responders as needed.
• Monitor cameras and alarms, report unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Dispatch Position in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional at a hotel or resort location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor alarms and incoming calls, document incidents, and dispatch personnel as needed. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities at a hotel or resort location.
• Monitor communications systems, receive calls and requests for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel to guest‑service needs, maintenance concerns, medical situations, and other security‑related incidents.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, key‑control documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site‑specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to supervisors, emergency responders, and/or appropriate site personnel as needed.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security‑related systems, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
