Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Dispatch Officer in Minneapolis, MN to serve and safeguard clients across industries. In this role you will monitor dispatch communications, coordinate responses to incidents, support access control and alarm activity, and maintain clear records with site personnel.

This full-time position offers daytime shifts: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, plus 6:00 AM–2:00 PM on weekends, with a pay rate of $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and coordinate dispatch communications, receiving calls for service and relaying relevant information to security-related personnel and site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and records of communications, personnel assignments, and response activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport operations areas and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or potential concerns.
