Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security professional in Melville, NY. You will deliver customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, perform unarmed patrols of industrial areas, and monitor entry points to maintain restricted access. You will respond to incidents calmly and document activities for site leadership with accuracy.

Shift schedule: Fri 11:00 PM–Sat 07:00 AM. A valid driver's license is required; licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, production spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain authorized entry to restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
