Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring for a full-time security role in Richmond, VA. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and being at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and property concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
