Allied Universal in Uniondale, NY is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security services at a commercial building. You will patrol interiors and exteriors, monitor access points, and assist tenants and visitors while following site procedures.

This role offers flexible anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, and a clear path to full-time opportunities as you gain experience with the industry leader.

Qualifications

• State or city-issued security license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

As a Security Officer Commercial Building Area Patrolin Uniondale, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
