Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a commercial building patrol in New York. You will provide safety, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access, responding to alarms, completing reports, and working a flexible schedule. A NYS Security Guard License and HS diploma are required, with background and drug screens as applicable.

Qualifications

• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity reports and shift communications maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer - Commercial Building Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding property perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence at the commercial property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
