Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY to provide flexible, reliable security coverage at a designated site. You will support access control, incident response, and customer service for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at the site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observations and changes in location conditions to site personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer Flex Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or guests at a technology, media, or telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, incidents, and changes in location conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
