Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or more is required.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws; drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state or locality; driver’s license only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, building perimeters, entrances, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
