Job summary

Unlimited Technology, Inc. in Exton, PA, seeks a full-time Security Installation Technician to plan and perform security system installations, maintenance, and commissioning at client sites.

You will install access control, IP cameras, alarms, and related networking, work with project managers, and provide clear updates. The role requires hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and the ability to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• 3-5 years of field installation experience in the security environment.
• Knowledge of security equipment systems (intrusion detection, access control).
• Ability to install and maintain various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
• Able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, travel independently.
• Certifications in Lenel/Software House access control preferred.
• Certifications in American Dynamics, Genetec, Exacq preferred.
• Experience reading engineered drawings and red lining post install.
• Ability to obtain required state low-voltage/security licenses as required.
• Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install Access Control and IP camera systems according to drawings.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting productivity.
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Communicate activity to the Project Manager or Field Supervisor.
• Maintain the condition and cleanliness of company vehicle.
• Attend product or safety training as required.
• Read and understand drawings and equipment schematics.
• Provide direction and leadership for system installations.
• Install and program Alarm, Access Control, IP video systems.
• Provide updates to project manager and customers.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform necessary corrections to security system.
