Job summary

CGS Federal in Chicago seeks a mid-level Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting services supporting fraud investigations involving complex transactions and organizations. You will develop guidelines, coordinate reviews, and draft reports for investigations, communicating across teams.

The role requires a four-year degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or fraud examination, with strong MS Office skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
• Analyze, organize, and present large volumes of data such as bank records, financial records, healthcare claims, tax records, correspondence and policies.
• Assist with the planning of investigations, including quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify witnesses and documents.
• Prepare concise and accurate reports of results of analysis with detailed charts and schedules.
• Assist with conferences and interviews of financial institutions, CPAs, and other witnesses.
• Utilize electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and evidence.
• Analyze a party's ability to pay monetary penalties based on financial disclosures and assets/liabilities.
• Develop, coordinate and issue draft audit guidelines applicable to financial audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final reports for staff use throughout investigations.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of voluminous documentary evidence.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing documents and creating charts/graphs for motions and at trial.
