Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Cumberland, RI to coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and dispatch appropriate support to maintain a secure environment. This full-time role requires 2+ years of security experience, a high school diploma, and may require CPR certification, background checks, and a drug screen. Pay is $22.85 per hour with night shifts.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to healthcare location staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor communication systems, receive and document requests for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining timely communication with relevant personnel and emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, activity records, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas and the perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
