Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Cumberland, RI. You will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security incidents, document activity, and support personnel across the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by coordinating security communications and emergency responses within a healthcare location.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch calls for assistance, alarms, incidents, and critical situations.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, access-control alerts, and other equipment; report irregular conditions.
• Maintain dispatch logs and incident documentation; communicate updates to supervisors and responders.
• Respond calmly to incidents, aiding timely coordination of resources.

• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by coordinating security-related communications, site-specific procedures, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch calls for assistance, alarms, incidents, and critical situations to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor communication systems, cameras, access-control alerts, and other security-related equipment; report irregular conditions according to site procedures.
• Maintain clear, accurate dispatch logs and incident documentation while communicating updates to supervisors, responders, and authorized healthcare personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support timely coordination of resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
