Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on fire, security, and building automation systems across projects of varying size and complexity.

You will act as the key technical interface, aiming to maximize customer satisfaction while meeting schedules and budgets. The role also involves mentoring less-experienced staff and collaborating with project managers.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years relevant experience in security/building automation
• Experience with building automation, fire alarm and/or electronic security systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair and service security and building automation systems
• Serve as technical interface for customer training and support
• Commission new systems and verify performance
• Interpret manuals, blueprints and wiring diagrams for installation
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with project management
