Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join the Product Security team, shaping security across Akamai's products by working with development teams to embed secure design practices. You will lead security-focused reviews, guide remediation efforts, and ensure compliance across a global product portfolio.

You will stay current with emerging security technologies, contribute to incident response, and help integrate secure AI usage in Akamai's workflow and products.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose custom solutions.
• Breadth of security knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks (STAMP, STRIDE).
• Able to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across products (security, CDN, cloud).
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate identified issues.
• Collaborate with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance and answer questions about security practices.
• Serve as subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure products meet security and compliance requirements.
• Integrate responsible AI use into workflows and product security.
