Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Security Architect to join the Product Security team. You will collaborate with development teams to embed security into the design and development of Akamai systems, with emphasis on AI and enterprise-wide security.

You will perform security-focused design reviews, guide remediation, and help shape security strategy across cloud, CDN, and edge products while communicating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This is a global, impactful role.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large global environment.
• Knowledge of latest security technologies, attack techniques and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose architecture-based solutions.
• Breadth of security knowledge across cloud, network and cryptography.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as STAMP or STRIDE.
• Able to communicate complex security concepts to a worldwide team.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across products.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate issues.
• Collaborate with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance and answer questions about security practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security and compliance requirements.
• Integrate responsible AI use into workflows and product security.
