Job summary

Akamai's Information Security team is seeking a Security Architect to advance the security of Akamai's products by collaborating with development teams to bake secure design into the software and systems. You'll work across security, CDN and cloud products and help integrate AI considerations into the security workflow.

You will lead design reviews, guide incident response, and ensure security and compliance across a global, scalable platform.

Qualifications

• Security architecture experience in a large, global environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose architecture-based solutions.
• Broad security knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks like STAMP and STRIDE.
• Excellent communication with aWorldwide team and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across products (security, CDN, cloud).
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate issues.
• Collaborate with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance on security practices.
• Serve as SME during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security/compliance.
• Integrate responsible AI use into workflows and secure products.
