Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join the Product Security team. You will enhance the security of Akamai's products by partnering with development teams to embed security into design and development, including AI considerations, across a global product portfolio.

You will collaborate with product and operations teams to drive secure design decisions, provide security guidance, and act as an incident SME, influencing security practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Up-to-date with latest security technologies and attack techniques.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and propose custom solutions.
• Breadth of knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling or hazard-analysis frameworks.
• Able to communicate with a worldwide, non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of apps, systems and networks across products.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate issues.
• Work with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance on security practices.
• Serve as SME during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security and compliance.
• Integrate responsible use of AI into workflows and security.
