Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Raleigh-based, is seeking a Security Architect to strengthen the security of Akamai's products by partnering with developers to embed secure design from the outset, including considerations for AI integration.

You will lead security-focused design reviews, collaborate with global engineering teams, and guide incident response to ensure compliant, secure deployment across Akamai's cloud and edge offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Knowledge of cloud security, network security, and cryptography.
• Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks such as STRIDE or STAMP.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across a wide range of Akamai products.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate identified issues.
• Collaborate with product development teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance and answers about security practices.
