Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Security Architect to join our Product Security team. You will enhance Akamai's products by collaborating with development teams to embed security into design and development, including AI safeguards and incident response.

You will serve as a security SME during incidents and remediation projects. You will partner with global teams across product, engineering, and infrastructure to remediate issues, drive secure design decisions, and implement tools and practices

Qualifications

• Experience designing security for large, global environments.
• Knowledge of threat modeling frameworks (STAMP, STRIDE, etc.).
• Ability to communicate security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews across products (security, CDN, cloud).
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams for remediation of issues.
• Collaborate with product teams on secure design choices and integration of AI safeguards.
• Provide guidance on security practices and participate in incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security and compliance requirements.
