Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation in Long Beach, California, is seeking a Security Analyst Intern to join the on-site Security Team for a 12-week period beginning May or June 2027. The role focuses on security education, intelligence, risk assessments, network research, and physical security, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates will thrive in ambiguity, work well in small teams, and have at least 3 months of related experience. A GPA of 3.0 is required, with 3.5+ preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an associates, bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in field of criminal justice, national security, emergency management, or similar.
• At least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0
• 3+ months of general work experience (internships or other personal/team project experience is applicable)
• GPA of 3.5 or above (nice to have)
• Military experience, active duty or reserves, or ROTC (nice to have)
• Experience in the aerospace or tech industry (nice to have)
• Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027

Responsibilities

• Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply industry concepts to solve real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1’s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates.
• Enjoy tech talks and network with other interns and employees through social and professional events.
