Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Assistant Account Manager in San Jose to support the Account Manager across supervisory, training and operations tasks at the assigned post. A week-long onboarding course is provided to equip you with best practices and guidance.

You will coordinate activities, supervise security professionals, maintain post orders, and assist with interviewing and training new hires while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) – five (5) years of professional-level experience required in security, law enforcement, or military.
• Must possess a valid state Guard License, or have applied and subsequently be issued such license prior to employment; background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test; maintain license at all times.
• Driving positions require a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record as specified.
• Energetic and focused with initiative; strong customer service orientation and de-escalation ability.
• Professional, articulate and able to exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to train and coach others and enforce post orders and policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication; able to interact with all levels and be a team player.
• Must be available to work outside normal shift schedule and be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Account Manager, assist with coordination of all aspects of executing the security contract at the location; assign tasks to Security Professionals.
• Serve as the first direct supervisory contact for shift supervisors or Security Professionals regarding performance and operations.
• Ensure Post Order manual and training information is maintained and post is clean and organized.
• Assist Account Manager in interviews and onboarding; conduct on-the-job training for new staff.
• Oversee reports, logs, and pass downs; disseminate communications to Security Staff.
• Manage all sub-units within Security Department; may generate work orders for extra security coverage.
• Respond to minor incidents, ensure proper action and timely reporting.
• Identify personnel problems and escalate; may write reports or assist investigations.
• Recommend counseling or disciplinary actions and may execute with supervisor approval.
• Respond to client/site emergencies and maintain client/security relationships.
• May perform Security Professional duties up to 50% of time as needed.
